10:00 AM
Start off downtown with a cup of coffee from Joebella Coffee or Spearhead Coffee. Head out of town on 13th st. After crossing the bridge you’ll turn left on North River Road / Union rd. Make the next immediate left turn on to River Rd.
The first 2 miles up river road are narrow and there can be traffic so ride single file. As you head north the traffic thins out. River road will turn in to Wellsona road as the road curves east and begins to feel much more like a country road as you near the north paso wineries. Turn left on airport road and head north toward riverstar.
11:00 AM
Stop by Riverstar Winery and enjoy the beautiful grounds and picnic area. Their tasting room is open on the weekends at 11. Midweek visits require a reservation.
Head east on Estrella road from Riverstar.
Graveyard Winery is another great easy stop along the route.
11:30 AM
Estrella veers to the right and crosses Hog canyon. Stop here for a picnic lunch at the beautiful gardens and orchards of Hartley Farms
1:00 PM
Head south on Jardine. We recommend using rear flashers as there can be fast paced traffic but you will be on Jardine for less than a mile. Make the first right turn at Tower Rd.
J. Lohr tasting room is at the corner of Tower and Airport rd. Make a reservation online if you plan to do their 90 minute tasting session.
From there head south on Airport Rd. and turn right on Buena Vista. There are several turns to stay on Buena Vista but following street signs will keep you headed the right direction. When you arrive at the Cuesta College campus turn right on River Oaks drive
From here you can follow the map up to River Oaks Hotsprings and enjoy a 30 minute soak in their hotsprings tub or simply head back toward downtown on River Road.
If you want to finish off the ride with a great selection of burgers and sliders. head on over the Taste Craft Eatery at the square downtown on 11st.
